Drake Bay

Be the first to review

Drake Bay is a small community located on the beautiful, isolated beaches of the Bahía Drake, bordering Corcovado National Park. Accessible primarily by boat or plane, Drake Bay allows tourists to experience the wonders of an untouched, rain-forest sanctuary in privacy and comfort.
The taxi boat from Sierpe to Drake Bay is a great opportunity to see some of the impressive flora and fauna, including mangroves and crocodiles, on the way. In terms of cost, the taxi boat is inexpensive in comparison to flying or driving.
Drake Bay offers a variety of lodging options, ranging from affordable B&Bs to luxury eco resorts.
These accommodations often offer tours and activities, including guided day and night time hikes, snorkeling and scuba diving as well as kayaks and other watercraft for rent. Day trips to the beautiful nearby island, La Isla del Caño, are also very popular.
Corcovado National Park is one of the few remaining lowland rainforests in the world and, as a result, offers amazing opportunities to experience the fascinating plant and wildlife that is quickly disappearing. While hiking through Corcovado, one can expect to see a variety of animals, including Capuchin and Howler monkeys as well as Toucans and Macaws.
Drake Bay is a great destination for couples or families and should not be missed.
