Kyoaji is said to be one of the best restaurants in Tokyo, and it would be a Michelin Guide 3-star restaurant had it not turned down this reward. True to its name, Kyoaji, or “Taste of Kyoto,” serves Kyoto cuisine, though it is a bit saltier than traditional food. Only one type of meal is served on any given day, and that meal depends on the season. Unfortunately, the only way to dine at this restaurant is to be invited by a regular customer.
