This is the only hostel my friend and I could find in Hohhot, but I couldn’t ask for a better place. It’s completely family owned, and everyone’s amazingly friendly. If you go to Inner Mongolia to check out the grasslands and ride horses/shoot arrows, this is the place where you want to stay first. They can arrange tours of the grasslands where you stay in a family’s yurt, ride horses, hike the grasslands, eat a lot of lamb, and see a lama temple. Also there’s free breakfast.
