Japan Centre Flagship Store sits at 35A Panton Street near Leicester Square in central London. Established in 1976, Japan Centre has grown into a destination for Japanese shopping and dining, with the current flagship designed around the style of a Japanese department-store food hall.
The shop carries Japanese cooking essentials and fresh ingredients, including rice, noodles, miso, soy sauce, matcha, snacks, confectionery, fruit, vegetables, seafood and thinly sliced meats. Specialist tea and sake rooms offer more focused browsing, while open kitchens and a central dine-in courtyard serve dishes such as ramen, katsu curry, gyoza and takoyaki.
The flagship is within walking distance of Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Charing Cross stations, with several nearby bus routes. Japan Centre also offers delivery of freshly prepared food through Deliveroo. Visitors should check the official store page for current hours and note that only assistance and guide dogs are allowed inside.
