About

A favorite scene of many movies that is made in New Orleans happens to be a cemetery. Lafayette is the oldest cemetery in the city with a history that dated back to 1824. For lots of Asians cemeteries are meant to be scary and gloom, yet this is a green, peaceful holy place. Sculptures, tablets, old decorative structures are considered arts rather than bad luck.

Every operating day at 10:30 a.m., a walking tour is offered for the interested.
