Doughnuts have been around since the 19th century but Gordough’s isn’t your average doughnut shop; it’s more than just doughnuts. At Gourdough’s the doughnuts aren’t just for dessert it’s literally part of your meal. Imagine eating a burger but instead of having the traditional white bread buns, it is replaced with doughnuts but don’t worry the doughnuts aren’t glazed. Gourdough’s definitely has to be one of the best places to eat at especially if you enjoy eating food that’s not so healthy but hey it has doughnuts and pretty much anything else that you might imagine and yes there is also bacon. Gourdough’s not only has amazing food but the name for each meal is certainly going to make you either laugh, do a double take, or confuse you (as in how did this meal get it’s name). My personal favorites would be the Dirty South and the Ron Burgundy, trust me it sounds odd but it’s to die for. Gourdough’s has 3 locations in Austin, TX, 2 Public Houses where the doughnuts are part of the meal and a food trailer where doughnuts are served as a dessert, don’t worry it’s not just a doughnut that’s glazed.
