Hayashiya is a 251-year old restaurant and is famous for its high quality green tea as well as green tea desserts. They have 14 branch stores all around Japan.
They serve ice cream, pudding, pound cake, roll cake, jelly, etc, all made from green tea and other types of tea. Fruits, syrup, red bean paste, etc can be added upon request.
The store is relatively small so many customers choose to get take-outs.
