Tenku Hills occupies the top floor of the Daini Toa Kaikan building in the heart of Kabukicho, just a two-minute walk from Shinjuku Station and 150 meters from Seibu-Shinjuku Station. Open since June 2023, this 200-seat rooftop beer garden trades the area’s famous neon alleys for open sky, with a mix of exposed terrace tables and a covered section that keeps the party going even when it rains.
The draw is charcoal-grilled, all-you-can-eat barbecue: thick-cut pork belly, beef short rib, grilled chicken, sausages, and seasonal vegetables cooked tableside and paired with all-you-can-drink courses that run from draft lager to sake, shochu, wine, and cocktails. Daytime sessions lean toward a relaxed lunch-under-blue-sky mood, while evening service turns the rooftop into a lively spot for after-work drinks, birthday parties, and group celebrations as the Kabukicho skyline lights up around the tables.
Tenku Hills is open year-round from 11:00 a.m. to midnight and welcomes both walk-in groups and private bookings for parties of 20 to 50 or more; the venue seats up to 200 and accommodates up to 400 standing, though it does not offer separate private rooms. English menus and English-speaking staff are available, credit cards are accepted, and smoking is permitted on the rooftop, so visitors sensitive to smoke may prefer the covered or window-side seating.
