Asahiyama Zoo is one of the most popular zoos in Japan opened in 1967. After the renewal of ‘Azarashi-kan’ on June 2004, visitors became able to see the seal (azarashi) from all sides. Since then, visitors have enjoyed the interesting ways of the exhibition, and the novelty made this zoo a popular sightseeing spot in Hokkaido.
