About

There are several things that make Hokkaido “special”: seafood, farm products, winter sports, and so on. Lavender is definitely one of these “special” things. People come to Hokkaido to see these beautiful purple flowers from other parts of Japan. Farm Tomita is the most popular lavender garden in Hokkaido. You can see the large field of lavenders and many other kinds of flowers during summer, but it also has a greenhouse that lets you enjoy the same flowers in winter as well. If you want to see lavenders outside, the best time to visit is mid-July.
