About

This is the Musashino-Nishikubo branch of Muten Kura Sushi, part of Japan’s nationwide “zero additives” (無添) conveyor-belt sushi chain, about a 16-minute walk from the north side of Mitaka Station and also reachable by local bus. The 199-seat restaurant is fully non-smoking and is one of the closest Kura Sushi locations to Mitaka and the surrounding Musashino area, with free parking for 36 cars for those arriving by car.

As at other Kura Sushi branches, dishes travel the belt under individual plastic lids that keep each plate covered and hygienic until it is opened at the table, a feature the chain pioneered and still uses as a point of difference from older-style conveyor sushi shops. Genuine wasabi is available on request rather than the horseradish-based substitute common elsewhere, and most plates are priced from around 125 yen, with a smaller number of specialty dishes and sides priced higher. Items not currently on the belt can be ordered directly from the tableside touchscreen.

The restaurant is open daily from 11:00 to 24:00, with last entry 30 minutes before closing. Credit cards and QR code payments are accepted, though electronic money is not. Given its popularity with families and students, booking a seat online or calling ahead is worthwhile during peak lunch and dinner hours.
