From traditional Japanese to Western to other Asian cuisine, Canal City’s got it all. All you’ve got to choose is what kind of food you’re in the mood for. In addition to food and shops, Canal City also has two movie theaters, a performance theater, and a myriad of events that changes with the seasons. If you’re studying abroad in Fukuoka, it never hurts to take a trip into Canal City. Plus, you can check out the fountain at the center of the canal flowing through the complex. A performance occurs every 30 minutes from 10am-10pm.
