Macau was an important international port in Asia back to 19th century, because of its location and function, it has attracted people from different countries to settle down here; therefore, Macau has became a area where has different cultures, different style of building, religious and the main area of this is what we called – Historic Centre of Macau.
Here you can see the Portuguese unreligious architectures, Casa Garden, Cathedral of the “Nativity of Our Lady”, Moorish Barracks, the Dom Pdro V Theatre, Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, the Leal Senado Building, the Holy House of Mercy, the Section of the Old City Walls, the Mount Fortress, the Guia Fortress, the Guia Lighthouse and Lilau Square. It is an interesting area where you can see how western culture impacts the chinese culture and Historic Centre of Macau has been included in the list of the World’s Cultural and Natural Heritage in 2005.
