Beiling Park is one of Shenyang’s best historical sites.
Beiling Park (北陵公园) is a large park located in north-central Shenyang. In addition to pine trees, paths and lakes there is the Zhaoling Tomb, where Emperor Taizong of the Qing dynasty is burried. In the winter one can go ice sledding or ice skating for a small fee. In the summer there are paddle boats for a fee as well as many beverage/snack vendors. The park is located on subway line 2, seven stops north of the “Qingnian Dajie (青年大街)” station. Attendance fees for the tomb and park are separate. The main entrance is the south gate which lies on Taishan Road.
