A historic home in Asheville that belonged to George and Edith Vanderbilt, the Biltmore Estate is a towering mansion in the rolling mountains of Appalachia. Tickets can be pricey, sometimes averaging around $60 for an adult ticket, though if you buy your tickets over seven days in advance, there is a bit of discount. Along with paying admission to the house, you’ll get to wander through the expansive gardens, the winery and the nearby Antler Hill Village.
