This is a Japanese ramen restaurant located in Convoy of San Diego. Convoy street has many asian restaurants and of these many are also Japanese ramen restaurants. Amongst such restaurant is this Chopstix which specializes in Ramen. When I first moved to San Diego, this place was the only ramen place.
That may be the reason why so many Japanese customers went to this place in the past but currently most customers are non-Japanese. This means that the food is far inferior in both authenticity and quality compared to other ramen places nearby. Such distinctions are rather difficult to observe by a non-japanese tongue. An example of such down fall is that I found few ramen noodles stuck to each other when my Mabo-Ramen was served.
This is terrible for any ramen shop in Japanese customs but for the price I could not complain. The positive aspects of this restaurant is the price being very low including sushi, as well as their business hours.
