Citygarden Sculpture Park fills two blocks of downtown St. Louis with contemporary art, native landscaping and spaces for rest and play. The park opened in 2009 and expanded in 2024; its collection now includes 29 sculptures by 29 artists from 12 countries.
Visitors can follow the park’s online audio tour, explore Missouri trees and wildflowers, and see the Split Basin, Voyager Pool and seasonal children’s spray plaza. Citygarden welcomes school and community groups, with self-guided materials available and advance notice requested for groups of 20 or more children.
Citygarden is at 801 Market Street between 8th, 10th, Market and Chestnut streets. Admission is free, and the park is open every day from sunrise to 10 p.m. Dogs are permitted on a leash; the children’s spray plaza normally operates from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
