Kings Dominion

This isn’t your average kiddie-themepark! While Kings Dominion does cater to children with it’s Planet Snoopy kids land and Dinosaurs Alive! (animatronic dinosaurs) exhibit, what KD really excells at is roller coasters.
Sporting over 10 intense coasters of various sizes and types, Kings Dominion is really about getting as much thrill as possible in one visit. The park has three old wooden coasters for those that like a little bit more of a bumpy ride, or those with a more modern taste can put themselves against the Intimidator 305, a brand new 305ft tall coaster that reaches speeds up to 90MPH. For the more exotic there’s the Volcano Blast Coaster, a launched suspended coaster that literally shoots you out of a giant volcano in the center of the park; and for the sci-fi lovers out there you can be blasted off into the pitch dark after being abducted by aliens in the Flight of Fear coaster. Kings Dominion is also home to the Dominator, a rollercoaster that has the tallest vertical loop in the whole world. Whatever roller coaster you like, KD offers something for everyone.
During the summer heat you can cool off in the park’s own waterpark! Unlike other parks, Kings Dominion has its own waterpark built into the very center of the park. Just like the coaster, the waterpark has tons of intense waterslides ranging from body-slides to tube-slides. There’s also a lazy river and TWO wavepools. Normal ticket price even covers entrance to the waterpark, so both can be done in one day.
