Leidsestraat is an area for shopping in central Amsterdam. Pretty much all of the famous name brand fashion labels have a store front in the vicinity. Their is also Leidsestraat square where street performers perform and it’s surrounded by restaurants, bars and clubs. Most of the area is made to cater to tourist, so expect to see TONS of tourist in the area. If you want to have fun but get away from the inexperienced traveler, jump over to Rembrandtplein or De Pijp.
