Great little weekend farmers market
A great place to spend an hour or two on the Wednesdays and Saturdays when the weather is nice! Avenue du President Wilson opens up to a street market with vendors selling things like meats, sausages, seafood, vegatables, flowers, clothes, and more. It has a very local feel but a great place for tourist to get a sample of Paris life and enjoy some pastry dishes and snack foods. Even if you don’t plan to buy anything, it’s still worth the visit. One of the vendors even sells heirloom pea known in French as “Kelvedon Marvel”, which was a favorite of Louis XIV.
Open Wednesday and Saturday from 7am to 2:30pm
I stumbled across this market while visiting Paris. It was a great little market where you can sample some local French food. Fun to just walk through and people watch.
