Mitsuwa Marketplace is a full-service Japanese supermarket chain, and the Irvine store on Culver Drive opened on December 17, 2011, as the company’s second Orange County location after Costa Mesa. The store sits in the Heritage Plaza Shopping Center in Irvine’s El Camino Real neighborhood, at 14230 Culver Drive, Suite B.
Inside, shoppers find imported Japanese groceries, fresh produce, dried noodles such as ramen, udon, and soba, Japanese snacks and drinks, and a daily selection of pre-packaged onigiri, bento, and sushi. The store also carries Japanese cosmetics, kitchenware, and other household goods for everyday use.
The Irvine location’s food court includes Hamada Ya, J.sweets, Misasa, and Santouka ramen, while its specialty retail lineup features Royce’ chocolate and Shiseido beauty products, giving visitors a place to shop and eat in one stop.
