Omoide Yokocho, which is commonly referred to as Memory Lane. This is a very popular drinking spot in Shinjuku, Tokyo. This place is lined with many very small bars and restaurants, all with their very own unique theme and style.
Many of these bars only have standing room for 5-6 people, so you get to know the bartender quite quickly.
This used to be one of those little secrets in Japan, until that idiot anthony bourdain decided to go visit it and blast it all over his annoying TV show. Now, every tourist and their brother pass through this little area and ruin it for the rest of us.
But if you are lucky and you head here during a low travel period of the year, you will for sure have a fantastic time!
