Qiao’s Family Compound is becoming famous and known by a lot of people due to Zhang Yimou’s film Raise the Red Lantern. Actually, Qiao’s Family Compound’s construction was started in Qianlong Emperor Qing Dynasty and was cost almost two centuries to complete. It was owned by a widely known financier Qiao Zhiyong. He and many of his generations lived there for many years. Now it is a public attraction, which includes several museums keeping and showing the initial interior design, funutire arrangement, and traditional local customs. It is a good place to realize traditional Chinese architecture and how rich family’s daily life was in the old China.
