I stayed here with my parents during my spring break two years ago, and even though it was only for a single night, the experience still sticks with me to this day. First of all, the city of Zurich itself didn’t even look real to me; everything was silent, nearly deserted, and the buildings and streets made me think I had suddenly happened upon the movie set of a futuristic city. The hotel itself was HUGE, truly living up to its name! It’s a gorgeous building with incredibly courteous staff, and I would be reminded again of that futuristic feeling the city itself gave me when we arrived at our room. Upon entering our hotel room and dropping our key in a slot on the wall, the room came to life; lights turned on, the floor length curtains of the windows opened up to show the sun setting over the city, and the bathroom lit up beside us. Everything that runs on electricity in your room is activated by your card sitting in that slot; once you pick up your card and are ready to leave for the day, the room shuts off all electricity to avoid wasting power. It was incredible! On top of that, the view was gorgeous, the rooms were wonderful, and the overall experience was unforgettable. For the price and location, it was a fantastic choice for us!
