Salsa Caribe is a Latin Nightclub, with Salsa (on1), Mambo (on2), Merengue, and Bachata music and dancing. Japan’s interest in Latin music/dancing is still growing, but Salsa Caribe, one of Tokyo’s oldest and established clubs, still has it! It’s dark, smoky, and loud, with lots of dancing. On some nights, Saturdays in particular, it’s very difficult to make your way through the dance floor to the bar and back. There are all levels of dancers here, though there are also beginner lessons available. Most of the clientele are Japanese, with the occasional Latino/Latina. All around a good place, and if you are lucky, you can even catch the occasional guest performer from overseas.
