Seattle Public Library – Central Library

Be the first to review

A postmodern, avant-garde, interesting architecture located in the heart of downtown Seattle.
This fantastic building could be a great art musem, art gallery or something else but you will never guess this amazing architecture is actually a public library and now it has a one more function, that is a popular attraction.

Thanks to this wonderful idea that turns the traditional public library into a extraordinary place, this building was built in 2004 by Rem Koolhaus, a well-known Dutch architect. When you walk in the building, the first thing grabs your eyes is the bright red floor and then the musturd yellow escalators; colors play a important role of the interior of this place and it is not only brighten the whole space but also brighten your mind.

At the top of the floor, you can see the beautiful view of the city; there is a coffee shop on the third floor where you can enjoy some snack and coffee indulging yourself in this art place.
