About

Westminster Cathedral is the Roman Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral of the Most Precious Blood and the seat of the Archbishop of Westminster. Completed in 1903, the cathedral is known for its striped red-brick and Portland-stone exterior, broad interior, mosaics, and Stations of the Cross by sculptor Eric Gill.

The cathedral is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and admission is free. Mass is celebrated throughout the week, with the cathedral choir singing at selected services. Visitors may also light a candle, explore the sacred art, or book a volunteer-led tour; service times and special events can change, so check the official schedule before visiting.

Westminster Cathedral stands at 42 Francis Street in London’s Victoria district. Victoria and St James’s Park Underground stations are nearby, and buses 3, 11, 24, 26, and 148 serve Victoria Street. The main cathedral entrance has level access, although individual chapels include steps, and the cathedral does not provide visitor parking.
