Bodrum is a hideaway Turkish restaurant and bar on the second floor of the M Building in Meguro’s Ohashi district, about two minutes on foot from Ikejiri-Ohashi Station on the Denentoshi and Hanzomon lines.

The kitchen turns out generous Turkish dishes built around tomatoes, cheese, and olives, paired with a solid wine list, and the restaurant hosts belly dancing performances on select nights, giving it a lively, convivial atmosphere well suited to group dinners and private parties.

Bodrum is a short walk from the popular Ebisu, Daikanyama, Nakameguro, Shibuya, and Sangenjaya areas, making it an easy detour for visitors exploring that stretch of Tokyo. Lunch runs 11:30 am to 5:00 pm and dinner from 5:00 pm, with no fixed closing day.

Queen Sheba is a longstanding Ethiopian restaurant tucked in the basement of the Neo Age Nakameguro building, a short walk from Naka-Meguro and Yutenji in Meguro-ku, Tokyo. The entrance is marked by a large Ethiopian flag and hand-painted signage, and the dining room is decorated with traditional Ethiopian art, woven baskets, and warm ochre tones that set the restaurant apart from its surrounding neighborhood. An earlier description of this listing placed it in Odaiba, but that claim does not match the restaurant’s verified Naka-Meguro address and has been corrected here.

The menu centers on injera, the spongy sourdough flatbread used to scoop up an array of stews, including doro wat (spiced chicken stew with hard-boiled egg), misir wat (spiced red lentils), and vegetarian combination platters served on a shared tray in the traditional style. The restaurant also pours South African and other imported wines alongside cocktails, and on select Friday evenings it hosts live performances on the kora, a West African harp-lute, adding a musical element to the meal.

Queen Sheba accepts credit cards and is set up for both casual dinners and small group bookings, with course menus available for parties. Because the restaurant occupies a basement space with a limited number of tables, reservations are recommended, particularly on evenings with live music.

Nakameguro KIJIMA is a Japanese izakaya on the third floor of a building along the Meguro River, about a five-minute walk from Nakameguro Station on the Tokyu Toyoko and Hibiya lines. The restaurant relocated within Nakameguro in 2019 and has continued serving its signature dish ever since.

KIJIMA built its reputation on torinabe, a chicken hotpot made with a rich, slow-cooked broth, alongside shabu-shabu featuring A4-grade Japanese beef and pork, and seasonal small plates. The dark, modern interior with private-room options suits both casual dinners and small celebrations.

With river views from parts of the dining room and a course-driven menu built around its signature hotpot, Nakameguro KIJIMA remains a go-to choice for diners looking for comforting, shareable Japanese cooking in one of Tokyo’s most walkable riverside neighborhoods.
