THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO is the official Gunpla flagship facility on the 7th floor of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba, directly beneath the famous life-size Unicorn Gundam statue that stands outside the building. It is the successor to the original Gundam Front Tokyo exhibit that opened at the same site in 2009 for Mobile Suit Gundam’s 30th anniversary.
Spanning roughly 600 tsubo across four zones, the facility lets fans buy the latest Gunpla model kits, build them in a dedicated workspace, view large-scale displays and dioramas, and learn about Gunpla craftsmanship through demonstrations and exhibits. A smaller ANNEX store sits two floors below on 2F.
The Base is open 10:00 am to 9:00 pm in line with DiverCity Tokyo Plaza’s hours. It remains one of Tokyo’s most visited attractions for Gundam fans and casual visitors alike, pairing retail and hands-on building with the iconic statue just outside.
