Located on a side street off of Kyoto’s main street Shijo, Gogyo embodies the traditional Japanese spirit of Kyoto, complete with a lantern hanging outside bearing the name of the restaurant. It offers a solid variety of ramen, including miso ramen, chashumen (noodles with pork), and more. Though the ramen itself is reasonably priced, you will probably end up spending over 1,000 yen as you order one of the many delicious appetizers such as gyoza or cheese bread. The selection of drinks is also impressive. However much you end up spending, you will definitely get your money’s worth of delicious Japanese food!
