Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is historical garden and popular wedding destination in the Richmond, VA area. Not only is it a beautiful garden housing more than a dozen sections of different themes, Lewis Ginter is also a conservatory and strives to be a leading expert in horticulture and botanical research. While the gardens, flowers, and trees are the main attraction on the estate, there is also a library and a kids area filled with ramps and swings and even a water play area.
The estate also has Japanese themed tea house where visitors can enjoy lunch next to the relaxing Japanese garden, or visitors can dine at the more casual garden cafe.
The garden also offers classes on horticulture and botany for plant enthusiasts where students can earn certifications based on course completion. Lewis Ginter is also very active in outreach in the area, working with K-12 children to increase awareness about threats to the environment such as the disappearance of honey bees.
