Also known as Ginkakuji, the Temple of the Silver Pavilion is one of the must-see sites of Kyoto. Located in the northeastern part of the city, it is accessed via a street vendor-filled path known as Tetsugaku no Michi, or the Philosopher’s Path. The peaceful scenery that Ginkakuji offers will most definitely allow for some philosophical introspection.
