The Duke of Wellington is a three-storey pub and rooftop bar at 146 Flinders Street in Melbourne’s central business district. Established in 1853, it describes itself as Melbourne’s oldest licensed pub and sits opposite The Forum, a short walk from Federation Square and Flinders Street Station.
The public bar serves modern pub fare including a roast beef roll, beer-battered rockling, cheeseburgers and chicken parmas. Upstairs, the dining room offers dishes such as pan-fried gnocchi, crab linguini and lamb pie, alongside 22 beers on tap, Australian and international wines, and seasonal cocktails.
Visitors can choose among the public bar, dining room, Arthur’s Cocktail Bar and rooftop. The venue takes online table bookings, shows live sport and stays open late, with the public bar and rooftop trading until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
