The Kyoto Studio Park is a historical theme park where kids and families can enjoy educational shows about samurai, ninja, and other aspects of ancient Kyoto. Program brochures are available in English but everything else–the shows, shops, etc- are conducted in Japanese. The park is not generally packed so there are plenty of opportunities for taking photos and walking along at your own pace. There are both indoor and outdoor exhibitions/areas such as mock Edo-period buildings and Nipponbashi.
Interestingly enough, there is an entire souvenir shop inside dedicated to the animation show One Piece. There are also other souvenir shops that sell toy swords, books, paintings, etc. You can find places to eat inside the park at your convenience.
