Ximending is sometimes referred to as the Harajuku or Shibuya of Taipei. It’s one of Taiwan’s first pedestrian areas and the biggest in Taiwan. The area is known for its’ hip and trendy young people that hang out in the area as well as shopping, restaurants, and bars/clubs. It gets an average of 3 million shoppers a month! At night, make sure to check out the street vendors selling all kinds of Taiwanese food for a delicious snack!
