About

Il Bacaro is one of those little hidden gems that you can find a lot of in Tokyo. It’s been around for years, and is a nice change from the run-of-the mill izakaya and family restaurant fare. Located in a basement level near Shinjuku San-chome, Il Bacaro seems to be a little bit of Italy (I’m told Venice) transported to Tokyo.

When you walk in, you see the standing bar area, where numerous food selections are available to accompany your choice of directly imported, tasty, and affordable wine.

If you choose to have a more traditional sit-down meal, this of course is certainly an option.
The food is excellent, and the wines are well worth the trip here!
