Tsukiji Sarashina no Sato is a long-running soba restaurant at 3-3-9 Tsukiji, a one-minute walk from Tsukiji Station. The kitchen mills selected buckwheat in-house on stone mills and makes several styles of soba, including handmade nihachi soba, refined white sarashina soba, darker kikouchi soba, and seasonal varieties that change through the year.
The menu also draws on the neighborhood’s market heritage, using seafood sourced directly from Toyosu and Tsukiji markets alongside tempura, seasonal dishes, and sake. Seasonal variety soba is a particular reason to return: the restaurant rotates ingredients such as sakura shrimp, tea, lemon, tomato, shiso, green yuzu, purple sweet potato, mustard seed, and yuzu through the calendar.
Weekday service runs from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. without a midday break, while weekends and holidays run from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Private rooms and online reservations make it useful for a casual bowl of soba as well as small gatherings, and the central Tsukiji address puts it within easy reach of Ginza and the Outer Market area.
